On Burns Night guests gather together to enjoy a Burns Supper which normally includes a traditional meal of Haggis served with mashed potatoes (tatties) and mashed turnip (neeps). The great food is washed down with a dram of Scotch whisky as Burns Poetry is recited!
The centrepiece of the evening is the Haggis - it even gets its own address or introduction normally with a Robbie Burns poem!
Haggis is basically a very special sausage and here at Primacy we love sausages! So to mark Burns Night we will have Haggis available to buy anytime at our Food Village in Bangor and in all our Tesco meat counters. We’ll also be serving it in the Village Tearoom on Saturday 24th and Monday 26th. It is a perfect time to try this really tasty and traditional dish especially if it is for the first time!
Here's to Rabbie Burns!
