Questions about our Delivery Service:
Is there a minimum order for courier delivery?
The minimum order value for home courier delivery is £50. If the items in your basket at the checkout are below that amount, the courier delivery option will not display at the checkout. As soon as the value of the items in your basket go over £50 the delivery option will display and you will be able to book courier delivery.
Where do we Deliver?
We deliver to the whole of Northern Ireland.
Due to courier restrictions, we are currently only able to ship within Northern Ireland.
How is my order shipped and kept cold?
We use DPD Next Day delivery service. Your order will be packed in an insulated box with ice packs, which will keep the products chilled until it is delivered. Your order will be shipped from the Farm Shop by us and should be delivered by DPD on the day after we ship it between 9 am and 6 pm. Please ensure you unpack and refrigerate or freeze your order as soon as it is delivered.
How long will it take for my order for delivery to arrive?
We prepare and butcher each order individually. Each order is prepared in the morning, packed and shipped in the afternoon. Once shipped from our Farm Shop, DPD will attempt to deliver to you the next day. This means that:
Orders can only be delivered on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
Delivery address information
We cannot book a courier delivery service for customers without a complete delivery address - recipient’s name, house number, road name, town, NI postcode, & parcel recipients email address. We also need any additional information that the courier will need to make the delivery (e.g. keypad code to get in the gate/building, information about the address if it is hard to find e.g. 'up the lane on left hand side marked by the red sign' and a working phone number for the RECIPIENT of the parcel (i.e. at the SHIPPING ADDRESS) (mobile preferred). This is essential as the courier will ring the mobile number of the recipient of the parcel if they can't find the address, or can't get in to the building e.g. if a gate keypad code is required or if they get to the delivery address but can't get an answer at the door.
Bank Holidays:
DPD do not deliver on Bank Holidays or Public Holidays.
If you have any queries on how a Bank holiday will affect your delivery or if a delivery is available on a certain day just give us a call on 02891 270083 (Option 1)
Email confirmation of shipping date:
After you place an order we will send you a confirmation of order email showing the goods you have ordered.
Changing your delivery date or delivery address:
You can change your delivery address or shipping date by emailing us or phoning us up to a deadline of 7AM THE DAY BEFORE YOUR SELECTED DELIVERY DATE. Please note no changes to delivery address or delivery date can be made on the date of shipping - the parcels are collected from our Farm Shop the evening before and the delivery address or delivery date cannot be changed once they are scanned by the DPD driver and taken away from the Farm Shop by DPD.
Tracking your parcel:
From the morning of the delivery date you can track the progress of your parcel on the DPD website https://dpd.ie/tracking.
DPD Delivery service:
DPD delivers anytime between 9 am and 6 pm. Please note that under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the risk of loss passes to the customer as soon as the first delivery is attempted. This means that the retailer (through the courier) is responsible for bringing the goods to the delivery address but that the customer is responsible for being at the delivery address on the delivery date to enable the delivery to be made.
This means that the DPD driver will leave your order in a safe place at the delivery address e.g. porch. Orders will be sent at the customer's own risk - neither Primacy Meats Ltd or DPD will accept liability if the parcel is then damaged or stolen while waiting for the customer at the delivery address.
