ANDY   (age 39)  Counter Manager

Background: Dishwasher /Waiter, Maintenance operative, Warehouse operative, Waiter, Security guard
Why did you apply?

It was something different, before I was working the nightshift, forklift driver and there was no work/life balance and this role would help achieve that. It was a new challenge and was nervous, but put head down, listen to the instructions and did well and I am proud of my accomplishment.

Favourite thing about the job: Dealing with customers, getting to know them and what they need
Pros:  Training, I got here with hard work and dedication. I’ve worked with different managers and you learn from all of the them and then find your own way. Plus, I’ve use my skills from previous jobs, it all helps

Support has been very good. There is a really good team spirit.

Hopes for the future: More of the same, perhaps some more training. It’s good to always aim higher.

THIS IS NOT YOUR NEXT JOB.

IT’S YOUR NEW CAREER...
